


Elaine N. Duggar was born and raised in central Georgia. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate, with Honors, from the Florida State University College of Law. She has been married to Ed, a CPA, for almost forty years. They are the parents of two adult children, Susan Stafford and Thomas Duggar (her partner in the Firm), and have seven grandchildren.
Elaine is a member of the American, Florida, Georgia (inactive), and Tallahassee Bar Associations. She is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Marital and Family Law and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, currently serving as chair of the Florida Chapter’s Scholarship Committee. She is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and has received extensive training in Collaborative Law. Elaine is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Florida Super Lawyers.
She is past-chair of the Second Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee, a former Adjunct Professor at the Florida State University College of Law, and continues to serve as a guest lecturer for the Florida State College of Law on family law and estate planning topics. In addition, she has served two terms as a member of the Second Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission.
Elaine has had a long-term partnership relationship with the Tallahassee law firm which is today known as Gardner, Bist, Wiener, Wadsworth, and Bowden, P.A., and Duggar and Duggar, P.A. continues to be Of Counsel to that firm.
Elaine was an organizing director and is past-Chair of the Board of First Bank of Tallahassee (now Wachovia Bank) and is former Director and Financial Chair of the Young Actors Theater of Tallahassee. She continues, as she has for many years, to be actively involved in all aspects of the life of Killearn United Methodist Church. Elaine and Ed treasure time with their family and, in rare moments of leisure, enjoy hiking and traveling.
